• Earth-sheltered / semi-buried form: Also listed under ground-source temperature moderation, the same solution serves both wind/storm resistance and thermal stability. Easier on sloped sites.
• Reinforced roof-to-wall strapping (hurricane ties): Mechanical connectors resisting wind uplift at the roof-wall junction.
• Low-profile hip roof form: Four sloped sides rather than a gable reduce the surface area directly exposed to wind uplift.
